When you take a close look at the people who served God, you'll find out that they were not poor. From Abraham to Jacob to Job to David and so on. These men were rich. But Matthew 19:24 KJV says, And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. So does this mean for you to affectively follow Christ, you must be poor? No.
Christ here I think was making reference to the affect our riches have on us. Riches here may not mean money. You educational achievements, your wonderful children, your swag, your connection and your self esteem.
Do you use these things to make life easier and better for those around you or does it make your head puff?
3 John 1:2 KJV Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. May God bless your hustle and give u the enablement to use your riches to the glory of God.
